Overview:
Soon after her twenty-fifth birthday, Libby Jones returns home to find the letter she’s been waiting for her entire life. She rips it open with one driving thought; “I’m finally going to know who I am”. She learns not only the identity of her parents but also that she is the sole inheritor of their abandoned mansion on the banks of the Thames in London’s fashionable Chelsea neighborhood. The home, even in its dilapidated state, is worth millions. Everything in Libby’s life is about to change. What she doesn’t know is that others have been waiting for this day as well- and although they’ve been in hiding, they are now heading her way.

In the kitchen, three dead bodies, all dressed in black, were seemingly posed next to a hastily scrawled note. The four other children reported to live at Cheyne Walk were gone.

I was so excited to read this book, as the summary looked like a book I would enjoy. However, I found this to be a very challenging story to read. It was written in three points of view and would bounce back and forth between them, and because of that I felt like each character was underdeveloped for what their role was in the story. The ending was abrupt and unfinished. I didn't quit this book as it had enough potential to keep me hoping that the author would find her pace and the book would develop throughout. I have read other books by Lisa Jewell that I have enjoyed, so I am chalking this one up as "not my cup of tea".
Sending this book off as part of a 'Reading it, Want it' request. I do hope the next reader enjoys it.
