The book is on my shelf now.

Never had I ever read any book by Siri Hustvedt before this, so didn't actually know what to expect. I like the way she writes, but the story -or, stories- she told I found somewhat boring. A young woman moves to New York, studies literature at uni, suffers of migraine, tries to get part time jobs to pay for the rent, meets interesting and not-so-interesting people, falls in love with several different men...

Siri Hustvedt is married to Paul Auster, who has used the main character of this book (Iris Vegan) in one of his books. Maybe I'll read that one to see if I like it more.

This book is available at the BC 2024 Convention in Tampere.

Picked up from the book buffet at the Tampere International convention as I am doing the 666/Reading around the world challenge 2024 and this will fit one of the countries. It also isn't too heavy as although I don't have a luggage allowance as such, I do have to carry my suitcase.
